House Report, Week 8

This is the report on what has been happening with the construction of the house. Remember, you can get a daily detailed report by following the updates on Google+!  To conserve the space on the blog, you're going to have to click the read more link to get the report.

May 14 Monday

The framing continued in earnest today. I'm not going to elaborate here, because some things are better seen than talked about. Click the link to learn more.

May 15 Tuesday

They have finished the majority of the interior framing today. Since they are working at such a furious pace, we may have the roof up before the end of the week!

May 16 Wednesday

A lot of the siding is now up and completed. There are still a few gaps for them to finish indoors, but it is pretty much completed.

May 17 Thursday

Rafters is the theme of today. Of course, they couldn't help themselves and put a cathedral ceiling in the Great Room. Ooops. We contacted the builder and they said that they'd fix it, but somehow we don't think that they'll be too happy to take it down...

May 18 Friday

A non-Glitch day. No work done thanks to that pesky cathedral ceiling. The builder reports that they are redrawing the plans for the roofline, etc. However, there are still pictures, so feel free to go for them!

the Week in Review

Yes, they did a lot of work, and for that we are excited and grateful. However, they also screwed up the master builder forgot to tell them about scratching the cathedral roof, so they are probably really irritated at us. Isn't that just great? Oh well, bygones will be bygones. Sorry about posting this late, but school is out on Wednesday so there will be more time for this documentary project. Hurrah! (and keep an eye on us, we've got an exciting thing happening at the end of this month.)

Remember, the blog will not be updated every weekday with pictures, you will have to go to our Google+ page to look at our daily updates. Click the banner at the top of the blog to go!
