House Report, Week 3

This is the report on what has been happening with the construction of the house. Remember, you can get a daily detailed report by following the updates on Google+!  To conserve the space on the blog, you're going to have to click the read more link to get the report.

Apr-9 Monday

The city inspector had not come to inspect the sewer line, so all they did today was to put in a temporary power meter... on the wrong side of the property line (again! Our neighbors don't seem to be too mad, but...).

Apr-10 Tuesday

The inspector came today and approved the sewer line. Also, it looks like they did some leveling and brought some supplies for the foundation (rebar and caps), so hopefully things will pick up in pace.

Apr-11 Wednesday

A huge thunderstorm completely soaked the lot... and everything else. No work was done today.

Apr-12 Thursday

Today, we found the sewer line ditch filled (they must have pumped out all the water) and some more leveling done. They also hooked up the power meter, so more work should be done soon.

Apr-13 Friday

We just did a quick inspection of the property due to tornado watches and warnings that were in effect. They did manage to complete the east retaining wall, fill in the rest of the sewer hole, and do a little more leveling. We hope for calmer, drier weather next week to get a lot more done.

the Week in Review
Once again, less was completed than we hope there would be, but progress was made which is better than nothing. We hope they will start the foundation next week, but weather seems to halt the process each time we are gathering up speed.

Remember, the blog will not be updated every weekday with pictures, you will have to go to our Google+ page to look at our daily updates. Click the banner at the top of the blog to go!

Thanks for following!
