House Report, Week 4

Apr-16 Monday

Not much happened today... we think that they were waiting for more supplies or workers. Here's for hoping more will get done tomorrow.

Apr-17 Tuesday

They laid the footing of the foundation today! It was great to see a physical sign that they weren't ignoring our property. Now that we look at the foundation, we start to think that this house is going to be really small... Mom's not to pleased to hear the news that the safe room may be smaller than she hoped for.

Apr-18 Wednesday

Today, they laid the stems for the foundation. We resigned ourselves to the fact that the saferoom is going to be the size of a broom closet: no way to lie down and sleep in something that size. Mom is especially displeased at the fact that she thinks she was getting gypped from what they should have given us.

Apr-19 Thursday

All they did was remove the forms today. We expect that they'll begin work on the plumbing, possibly also put the heating and cooling systems underground as well. Let's see what happens tomorrow.

Apr-20 Friday

There was threatenings of severe weather and other nasty storms coming through, but it turned out to be a lot less severe than they thought it would be: we got an hour of rain.

It was sunny all day, but absolutely nothing happened out our property. Glitch Day! Come on, Mr. Plumber, you can make it on Monday... we hope.

the Week in Review

They completed a lot this week, so we're happy. However, we are wondering how long it will take for the plumber to finally come out to our property this time... last time, it took a week. Hopefully it will be less this time. We'll check it out tomorrow and let you know via our Google+ feed.
