Hey, just a quick note before we start: most of what's happening right now is better seen than written, so click on the links to check the pictures out!
July 2 Monday
Electrical people came back and cleaned up. Another team grounded the lightning protection system as well. We also got inspected for the electrical wiring and failed... again. The notice is included in the pics, but the gist of it is that the electrical team grounded the house to the wrong line, they forgot to wire the safe room, and they say that the central kitchen island needs to be wired up, even though it's planned for it to be removed.
July 3 Tuesday
Today, the data people came back and rerouted their wires to a hall closet for the central routing station. There was also a team of people searching for the power pipe that would let the electrician wire power to the kitchen bar on the outer edge of the kitchen. You know things are bad when they resort to using sledgehammers at random trying to find the end of that pipe.
July 4 Wednesday
As this day is a holiday, they did not work. Click the link if you didn't see our little greeting card.
July 5 Thursday
We hope and pray that the electrical team doesn't hate us, because they came back again to fix some errors and add some power plugs where they missed them on the map. Apparently the developer is the poor mediator between our dense electricians and our map... we got a note from him when we notified him of the changes still needed to be done saying that the team was starting to despise this house. The good news is that they found the end of the pipeline for wiring electricity to the kitchen bar.
Another team went around the house and taped up the cracks and holes in the siding in preparation for insulating and bricking the walls.

July 6 Friday
A team removed the central kitchen island piping today... all that's left of it is a dark gray smudge in the foundation. Now awaiting the inspector to reinspect the wiring.
July 7 Saturday
Sheetrock was delivered today, presumably in the morning. No other work was done, as this is the weekend. :P
the Week in Review
We should be on the brick soon! All that's left for the inside right now is inspection, sheetrock, and insulation... hopefully they'll finish by the end of next week! Stay with us, things are about to get very exciting!
